I bought a pair of Levi jeans with the intention of making the into my own high-waisted skinny jeans. Un fortunately for me, I didn't measure it right so one leg was shorter than the other. I recommend using pins to hold the two jeans together.
Okay so for this you will need:
- A sewing machine.
- Scissors.
- Your favorite pair of skinny jeans.
- Chalk (I recommend pins instead!)
Okay so here are the original jeans. So baggy!
STEP 1: Place your favorite pair of skinny jeans on top of your non skinny jeans. Make sure everything is aligned correctly
I have no idea why theres a big purple mark on this photo.
STEP 2: Here you should trace around the skinny jeans. (I recommend you do this with pins) this way you can try it on to see whether or not it fits how you would like it to.
STEP 3: Now that you know how you would like your jeans, you are ready to sew. So sew along your marks.
Here is what your first leg will look like if it's going well.
STEP 4: Now you should cut away they excess material. Make sure you leave a little bit of material.
STEP 5: Sew along that remaining material to secure the new stitches.
Now you've made skinny jeans YAY!
That's a really good idea! I can buy a pretty jeans from the thriftstore and alter it! Thanks for sharing this :)
